A Diverse Community

Valuing diversity is a core tenant at Lesley Ellis and often a reason that people choose to send their children to us. We are actively committed to diversity, equity, and justice, and these values are integral to who we are. At Lesley Ellis School, we recognize that students learn better in a diverse environment, and we define diversity as the existence of human variety. We understand that each of us is diverse in multiple ways and in a variety of contexts, and we look to explore diversity through various cultural identifiers, including, but not limited to, ability, age, ethnicity, gender, politics, race, religion, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status.  Diversity is embedded in our curriculum and evident in the ambiance of our school.  Lesley Ellis strives to educate everyone in our community to understand, appreciate, and value diversity, equity and justice, and we work to ensure that all members of our community can be fully participating, active contributors. All types of human diversity are celebrated at Lesley Ellis, and we encourage every person to bring their whole self through our orange doors.
