Middle School Memorial Projects

Bringing learning to life is foundational to the Lesley Ellis experience. Middle school students had a chance to flex their creative and expressive muscle when they created memorial projects after reading “Night” by Elie Wiesel. Students conceived and created beautiful models of memorials for various historical and current events that they diligently researched. By creating these designs and writing persuasive letters to relevant city officials, they have took action on human rights abuses to ensure that the victims and survivors are not forgotten, which is in the spirit of Wiesel’s message to the world, “Never Forget.”
