An Historic Night

Head of School Deanne Benson put it well when she said, “What a party. What a night. We’ll never forget this.” She was referring to the annual auction that was held Saturday, April 10. The online event was attended by more than 300 participants and resulted in an historic amount of money raised – nearly $94,000 – in support of the Lesley Ellis Financial Assistance Program. “During the pandemic, our families’ need requests have increased significantly, so this revenue will go to the most important use of all,” said Benson.

The night was emceed by Lesley Ellis’ very own Chuck Claus and included live auction items , a raffle, and an online silent auction. The night even included an appearance by Elivs who got the online crowd in a bidding mood by singing, sharing some adult drink recipes, and mugging for the Zoom camera as only Elvis could do!

Thank you to all who participated and helped support the Lesley Ellis community in such a meaningful and substantial way.
