A Program of Schools for Children

expert faculty

Lesley Ellis teachers are here because they love this school and the children they teach. They, like their students, are part of something bigger and are always working together to move the school forward—to do things better. Nothing is ever stagnant for LES teachers. They have all made the decision to be not only teachers, but to be Lesley Ellis teachers.

Lesley Ellis School’s history as a lab school for Lesley University is reflected in the faculty’s openness to innovation and commitment to professional development and growth. They develop new curricula, speak at conferences and are invited to share their expertise with other educators. Approximately 70% of LES teachers have earned advanced degrees, and almost 90% have five or more years of experience in the LES classroom.

Lesley Ellis teachers are experts at teaching their age group, and their developmental approach assures that children acquire the solid foundational knowledge base as well as the social and emotional skills they need to succeed.
