A Program of Schools for Children

Every student has a story. Here are theirs.

You’re in for a treat!

Every student has a story to tell, and the 18 students in the Lesley Ellis Class of 2026 have some pretty wonderful ones.

Their journeys to eighth grade are as unique as they are. Some have been at Lesley Ellis since their earliest school days, while others joined along the way. Their interests are wonderfully varied, their experiences are deeply personal, and the moments that have shaped them are as different as the students themselves.

But as you’ll discover, there’s something that connects all 18 of their stories. It’s the feeling of belonging, of being known and valued, of finding a place where you’re encouraged to take risks, discover new interests, and grow into yourself. It’s about teachers who challenge and support you, friendships that make a difference, and the confidence that comes from knowing you matter.

These stories are thoughtful, funny, insightful, and sometimes wonderfully surprising. Together, they offer a glimpse into the remarkable growth that happens between a student’s first day at Lesley Ellis and the moment they’re ready to head off to high school.

So take a look! Browse a few stories, spend some time getting to know these extraordinary eighth graders, and enjoy hearing about their journeys in their own words.

We’re awfully proud of them, and we think you’ll see why.
