Great Cause, Successful Event

The cheers from spectators and the bright colors of the runners, helped to warm the spirits if not the actual bodies of all of those who turned out for the annual 5K Cause and Event road race in Arlington yesterday. Despite the rain, wind and cold temperatures, more than 1,000 runners turned out to run (or walk) in support of various causes.

Lesley Ellis had 87 participants, the second largest team participating, and for the fifth year in a row the team was raising money for the Jon Pfeifer Memorial scholarship. Half of the $30 registration fee from each participant goes toward the team’s chosen charity or cause. $1,500 was raised for the Jon Pfeifer Memorial scholarship fund.

In addition to the second largest team, Lesley Ellis also partnered with the organizers to once again facilitate the kids’ Fun Run which took place on the fields behind the high school and just prior to the official race. Twenty Lesley Ellis students ran in the fun run and 10 Lesley Ellis parents volunteered to help manage and organize the Fun Run. Thanks to everyone who participated.

Admission Decision Time!

As admission decisions are being shared across the region, some families may still be exploring the right school fit for the coming year. Lesley Ellis School currently has limited openings for the 2026–2027 school year. We welcome inquiries from families interested in a warm, academically engaging, and inclusive preschool–grade 8 community. Our admission team would be happy to connect and help you learn more about the Lesley Ellis experience.
